What Psilocybin Therapy Costs in Oregon
Every price published, including what the psilocybin itself costs. You should not have to book a call to find out.
Psilocybin therapy with Ayeterra costs from $75 for a low-dose group session, $250 for a private low-dose introduction, from $750 per person for a full group session, and from $2,000 plus medicine for a private one-on-one session. Multi-day retreats run from $3,000 per person. Preparation and integration support are included at every tier.
Listed prices are starting prices. Your exact figure depends on the format, the dose, and the service center, and you get it in writing at the consultation. And if the price is what is stopping you, say so: sliding-scale access is real. Last updated September 15, 2026.

What do psilocybin retreats cost?
Same legal core as every other format, a guided session with a licensed facilitator at a licensed Oregon service center, with lodging, meals, preparation, and integration wrapped around it. Groups are four to six people; ask on the consultation about upcoming dates.
Three-night retreat, one journey
- Three nights of lodging and meals, Portland area
- One full-dose guided session, up to 35 mg, psilocybin included
- Preparation together before, integration before you go home
- Four to six people
Five-night retreat, two journeys
- Five nights of lodging and catered meals
- Two guided sessions: a lower dose early in the week, then a full dose up to 35 mg
- Psilocybin, preparation, and integration included
- Four to six people
What is included in the price?
Every listed price covers the whole arc, not just the hours you spend with the psilocybin.
What every price covers
- A free consultation and careful screening before anything is booked, including a straight answer if this is not the right fit or not the right time.
- Preparation with your facilitator, beyond the one session Oregon requires, because readiness is most of what makes a session go well.
- The session itself at a licensed Oregon service center, with your licensed facilitator present the entire time, and lab-tested psilocybin from Oregon-licensed producers.
- Integration support afterward, so what came up has somewhere to go.
What you will not see:
- No membership or program fees
- No facility fee added after the fact; the service center room is in the price
- Nothing sold to you between the consultation and the session
- No surprise on the day: Oregon rules require your facilitator to give you the fees, refund policy, and any cancellation terms in writing before any payment is collected (OAR 333-333-5000)
What does the psilocybin itself cost?
For one-on-one sessions the psilocybin is billed separately, and openly.
- $5 per milligram, the service center’s rate
- Plus Oregon’s 15 percent psilocybin tax, which the state applies to the product and the service center collects
- Group, low-dose, and retreat formats include it, because those formats set the dose range in advance
| Dose | What it adds, with tax | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Under 10 mg | Included | Low-dose formats |
| 15 mg | $86 | First session of a two-session program |
| 20 mg | $115 | Lighter one-on-one |
| 35 mg | $201 | Standard full dose |
| 50 mg | $288 | Upper end, set case by case |
In practice most full one-on-one sessions add roughly $115 to $290 of medicine, which puts a typical one-on-one at about $2,100 to $2,300 all-in.
Why not fold it into a flat price? Because dose is individual. A flat rate would mean the person taking 20 mg subsidizes the person taking 50 mg. Billing the psilocybin at the service center’s rate, with the rate and the typical range published, is the honest version.
Want the exact number for your situation?
The consultation is free and confidential, and there is no commitment. You will leave it knowing what this would cost you, all-in, and whether it is a fit at all.

Price should never be the reason someone does not have a session. Two honest answers, neither involves a form, and if you are not sure which applies to you, reach out and ask.
The low-dose group, from $75
No application and no means test. It exists so that there is a genuine doorway into this work, with a licensed facilitator, in a group of people doing the same thing.
Sliding-scale access on other formats
Real, and handled person to person on the consultation. You do not have to prove hardship, and there is no waiting list to game. Just raise it.
How does this compare to other Oregon service centers?
The headline number is the easy part to compare. What it buys is the part that matters, and it varies more than the prices do.
Published Oregon pricing guides and directories, reviewed mid-2026. Individual centers set their own prices.
- Private full-dose session across Oregon: roughly $1,500 to $3,500. The lower end typically covers the one required preparation session and the session itself.
- Packages that add more preparation and an integration session: commonly $2,500 to $3,000.
- Ayeterra one-on-one: about $2,100 to $2,300 all-in, medicine included, with preparation beyond the required session and integration already in the price.
- Group sessions across Oregon: about $850 to $2,000 per person. Ayeterra: from $750, same preparation and integration built in.
Two things worth checking wherever you look:
- Does the price include the service center room and the psilocybin, or do those arrive as separate line items later?
- How much preparation and integration is actually in it? One required preparation session and a real course of readiness work are very different things at the same headline number, and the difference shows up on session day.
Pricing questions
Does insurance cover psilocybin therapy in Oregon?
No. Oregon’s psilocybin program sits outside conventional healthcare, and Ayeterra does not bill insurance or benefit plans. Some people use HSA or FSA funds; whether your plan allows that is a question for your plan administrator, not something we can promise. Group sessions and sliding-scale access are the honest affordability paths right now.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. It is a free, confidential conversation, usually around fifteen minutes, for both of us to assess fit. You will get real answers, including a clear price for your situation, and no obligation afterward.
When do I pay, and can I pay in installments?
After the consultation you get a written quote and the payment and cancellation terms. Nothing is collected until you have both in writing, and sessions are paid before the session date. If timing is a concern, raise it on the consultation so it can be worked out before anything is booked.
Is the low-dose group a real session, or a sample?
A real session. The dose is deliberately low (4.99 mg), a licensed facilitator is present throughout, and it happens at a licensed service center like every other format. It is an introduction, not a discounted version of the full group session, which is a different format at a different dose.
Do prices vary by location or facilitator?
Slightly, which is why the listed prices are starting prices. Sessions happen at licensed service centers in Portland and Ashland, and room and medicine rates differ a little between them. You get one exact, all-in figure in writing after the consultation, before anything is booked.
Are there extra fees at the service center?
No. The service center room is included in every listed price. The only thing added is the psilocybin for one-on-one sessions, at the rate shown in the table above, and the state’s 15 percent tax on it.
Do I need to live in Oregon?
No. There is no residency requirement, and many people come from out of state. You need to be in Oregon for the session itself, and retreats include the lodging. Ayeterra does not provide psilocybin services anywhere else.
What is the least expensive way to try this?
The low-dose group, from $75, or the $250 private low-dose introduction (4.9 to 9.9 mg) if you would rather do it one-on-one. Both are complete sessions with a licensed facilitator, and both are a reasonable way to decide whether a full session is right for you.
Why is the two-session program priced the way it is?
It is two full one-on-one sessions, so it is priced as one and a half: from $3,000 for both, with the session rooms included, plus medicine for each dose. It costs more than a single session and less than booking two separately.
What does a retreat price include, and what does it not?
Lodging, meals, preparation, the guided session or sessions at a licensed service center, the psilocybin, and integration. It does not include your travel to Oregon. Retreat groups are four to six people.
